April Lockhart

April Lockhart is a born July 4 on the 4th of July, 1995. At the age of seven she started taking piano and guitar lessons. This ignited her passion for songwriting. The first song she wrote was called Different, which she wrote at 12 years of age. The singer spent much of her the time of 14 writing songs, and practicing her music. In the following months, she started taking notes together with her dad to LA or NY. She also started to write about different topics related to some of her classmates who struggle with issues such as peer pressure disabilities and even teenager suicide, as in the song Take my Hand. Lockhart has her own following and also works as a lifestyle blogger under the popular Ilia clean beauty brand. She was born with no left hand and that is what makes her different. However, that's not the only unique thing about her. The profile of Lockhart on Instagram does not cover up her disability, but it does not focus solely on the condition. The message? The message? We each contain multitudes, that our identities and physical selves are not all that they seem. Lockhart has stated on video she didn't want to be defined by the condition she has. The woman doesn't intend to become a disability advocate who focuses on that. There is a lot of aspects that make up Lockhart. My everyday life isn't impaired by the disability. I go about my regular daily life, and come up with my own solutions to issues. But, it's an integral part of me which is why I think it's essential to discuss. Her journey to self-acceptance is a journey that's going to last a lifetime, but she is an inspiration for this purpose. She admits that she's been through phases with her body being unsure about wearing particular types of clothes which accentuated the arms of her. Nowadays, she can wear whatever she likes. and she shares images on social networks. It's all a process is the one thing I'm not aware of to arrive at, her self-love statement. It's a long journey. I don't think you ever make it to the end. I believe having friends that have a sense of who you are and understand your heart is really important as they'll be the ones who will remind you what you concerned about?
